Shellharbour Shows Its Sporting Prowess

MORE than a dozen sports will be on display when the Shell Cove Shellharbour City Festival of Sport is held next month.

The three-day event that starts on March 4 will also include the naming of the Shellharbour City Sports Star of the Year award at a presentation dinner at the Shellharbour Workers Club.

The annual Dragon Boat challenge is once again sure to provide plenty of action.

Staff from the City Coast Credit Union have won the event in each of the past two years and are planning on making it three in a row.

Other featured sports include golf, lawn bowls, tennis, surfing, fishing, table tennis, martial arts and gymnastics.

A walk through Shell Cove has also been organised for those who like things a little slower.

The Family Fun Day scheduled for the Lake Illawarra PCYC on March 6 is looming as one of the highlights.

A range of rides, entertainment and healthy lifestyle displays will be located at the Reddall Parade site.
